ABOUT US
Karubecue began in the Summer of 2004. Inspired by
countless pit inspections and pit boss interviews during many Barbecue Tours, we
decided a few things:
 |
- There is a lot of room for improvement in barbecue
pit technology. Even great joints have off days, with the outcome
driven largely by the pit boss' experience and attention.
- Great pit bosses share many practices; these should
be designed-in to a better pit.
- Better pit technology would grow barbecuing by
helping novices become successful.
- The project should take 2 to 3 months, 4 tops.
We were a bit off on that last one...

Having solved the core technology issues of smoke quality and
temperature control, Karubecue is focused on commercialization through
licensing and limited production.
